Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
LifeHub is an early-stage personal dashboard. This policy is intended to be transparent about what the app collects, which service providers are involved, and what controls are available. It should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before LifeHub is offered broadly to the public.
Information LifeHub collects
- Account information, such as display name, username, email address, and authentication details.
- Dashboard information you enter, including fitness entries, meals, meal uploads, weight entries, habits, goals, budgets, manual transactions, recurring expenses, and manual investments.
- Financial data received through Plaid, such as account names, account type, balances, transactions, holdings, and institution information when you choose to connect an account.
- Basic technical and security information, such as request logs, error logs, browser errors, timestamps, and important identifiers needed for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
Bank and investment connections
LifeHub uses Plaid for bank, brokerage, retirement, and other supported financial institution connections. Your bank login credentials are entered into Plaid's secure connection flow, not directly into LifeHub. LifeHub receives read-only financial data from Plaid so the dashboard can show balances, transactions, investment holdings, and refresh status.
You can remove individual connected accounts or disconnect Plaid access from the Profile section. You may also revoke access through your financial institution or Plaid where available.
Service providers
LifeHub relies on third-party providers to operate the service:
- Plaid for financial account linking and read-only financial data.
- Render for application hosting and server infrastructure.
- Supabase for authentication services when Supabase login is enabled.
- Resend for account and password-reset email delivery when configured.
- Twilio for optional SMS/text-message security code delivery when you choose text message authentication.
- Alpha Vantage for market price data when market refresh is enabled.
How information is used
LifeHub uses information to provide the dashboard, save user-entered data, show fitness and finance summaries, refresh connected account data, manage authentication, send password-reset emails, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and improve reliability and security.
SMS/text message security codes
If you add a phone number and choose text message security codes in Profile, LifeHub uses your phone number only to send one-time security codes for account sign-in and protected account access. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out by replying STOP, request help by replying HELP, remove your phone number, or switch back to email codes in Profile. LifeHub text messages are transactional only and are not used for marketing. LifeHub does not sell or share SMS opt-in consent or phone numbers with third parties for their marketing.
Storage and security
- LifeHub uses HTTPS/TLS for browser-to-server traffic when accessed through the live domain.
- Plaid access tokens and stored Plaid data are encrypted on the LifeHub server using authenticated encryption before being written to the app data store.
- LifeHub does not store your bank username or bank password.
- Local account passwords are stored as password hashes, not plain text passwords.
- Security controls include server-side secrets, email-code MFA, CSRF checks for sensitive actions, secure cookies on HTTPS, and account-specific access checks.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Do not add information to LifeHub that you are not comfortable storing in the service.
Sharing and selling
LifeHub does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers needed to run the app, with financial data providers when you connect an account, or when required to comply with law, security, fraud prevention, or valid legal process.
Your choices
- You can sign out of LifeHub at any time.
- You can disconnect Plaid access from the Profile section.
- You can remove individual connected accounts where supported.
- You can edit or delete many dashboard entries directly inside the app.
- You can permanently delete your account and associated active LifeHub data from your Profile settings.
- You can request help with account deletion or data deletion by contacting Justin Burns, the LifeHub website owner, at security@lifehubbapp.com.
Account deletion
You may delete your account and all associated LifeHub data at any time from your Profile settings. Once confirmed, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. LifeHub removes your profile, saved dashboard data, active Plaid connection data, and active login sessions immediately. Backup copies, if any, may take up to 30 days to age out of backup systems.
California and state privacy rights
If state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) apply to your use of LifeHub, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. LifeHub does not sell personal information. Privacy requests should be sent to Justin Burns, the LifeHub website owner, at security@lifehubbapp.com.
Children
LifeHub is not intended for children under 13 and should not be used by anyone who is not old enough to create an online account or connect financial accounts under applicable law.
